Who collects your data

What I collect

When you sign up for my readers’ list I ask for your email address and, optionally, your first name. I also record how you found the site (for example which page you signed up from) and basic email-engagement data (whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked).

Why

To send you the free novella you requested and, if you stay on the list, the occasional newsletter about new books, recipes, and life in Gascony.

Where it’s stored

Your data is stored in a database hosted by Neon (Postgres) and in Resend, the email service I use to send newsletters. Both are based in the United States.

How long

I keep your data for as long as you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I remove your data within 30 days. If you ask me to delete everything sooner, I will.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• Unsubscribe — click the link at the bottom of any email.
• Ask for a copy of your data — email me.
• Ask me to correct or delete your data — email me.
• Object to processing — email me and I’ll stop.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites. There are no other tracking cookies or third-party trackers.
